Kpoplive | GD&TOP's “Don’t Go Home” banned from MBC

After it was just learned that major broadcasting stations KBS, MBC, and SBS had banned one of G-Dragon and TOP‘s songs from their duo album, YG Entertainment has just released that a second song from High High has been banned.

Although they had expected Knock Out to be banned, it came as quite a surprise to YG Entertainment when they learned of Don’t Go Home‘s ban. “We don’t think ‘Don’t Go Home’ has any problems, the other broadcasting stations, KBS and SBS, have not banned the song. We were surprised at MBC’s decision, but considering they may have their own reasons, we’ll request a retrial politely this time.”

While MBC has yet to announce the reasons for banning the song, YG Entertainment has come up with a possibly reason, “We think TOP’s rap in [the song] is considered to be the problem, but please understand that they’re just lyrics…we are not modifying the lyrics in the process of requesting for the retrial.”

Check out the lyrics in question below:

I hate this awkward atmosphere
Was the clock’s needle always this loud?
I only hear the sound of saliva going down my throat. What should i say?
Look baby, i only want to greet the morning with you
Before this night passes, our own secret party

But you like Cinderella
Want to go home when the clock hits 12
Lonely nights are long, callin’ up your parents
I act strong but it bothers me

Meanwhile, G-Dragon and TOP’s Knock Out was banned for containing slang within the lyrics and title. The Big Bang duo will continue to prepare for their Don’t Go Home and Baby Good Night promotions in mid-January.
