Has it been 2 years already? 2 years ago on January 17, 209, After School debuted with “Ah” as a fierce 5-member group. This post is a look back into After School’s amazing journey.
Early January of 2010, After School performed a comeback as a 7-member group with “Because Of You”.
With Nana and Raina, After School continued to grow as their fandom (Playgirlz) also grew.
On January 24, 2010, After School won their first mutizen for "Because Of You" on their last stage.
Nana became the group’s chic model while Raina became After School’s irreplaceable powerhouse for vocals. During their next comeback, “Bang!”, After School introduced Lizzy, who would soon be a variety princess in the eyes of Playgirlz.
Kahi, (Appa), the ultimate leader and unbeatable dancer.
Jungah, (Omma), the silly, caring mom.
Uee, the honey-thigh, “You’re Beautiful” actress, discipline-enforcer.
Bekah, our Hawaiian -thank-God-she-speaks-English, happy-virus-spreader.
Jooyeon, the beautiful, oh so tease-able ulzzang.
Soyoung, the gorgeous, forever missed, bubbly member
And No Yi Young… I bet all the PlayGirlz are wondering what we’ll be adding to her name next year? Me, too….
10 amazing girls that we all fell in love with. And although many are speculating that by adding new members, other members will receive less love, that’s not true. After School is always surprising us with talent, laughs, and ability.
Here’s to an amazing past year for After School, and an even better 3rd year. After School Fighting!
