Hellokpop | Survey Says Taeyang Is The Best Idol Dancer

A survey was recently conducted by Sports Hankooki to determine which idol was the best dancer. Only professionals in the field of K-pop choreography were able to select who they believed was most suitable to gain this title. Big Bang's Taeyang was chosen to be the best dancer among all K-pop idol groups.

Three of five chosen famous dance teams that cast their votes chose Taeyang for his fluid and creative movements. Taeyang’s style of dancing was most comparable to a well known American star, Usher. The three dance teams were from YG Family, JYP Entertainment and SM Entertainment which happen to be the top three leading entertainment agencies of South Korea.

The head choreographer of YG’s dance team, High Tech's Lee Jaewook complimented Taeyang on his abilities, strength, and facial expressions. JYP’s Park Namyong also noted Taeyang on his crisp moves and facial expressions. Last but not least, SM’s representative, Beat Burger's Hwang Sanghoon simply commented,

Taeyang's skills are exceptional.

Park Sanghyun of Play Dance was the choreographer of two of Secret's songs, Magic and Madonna. He cast a vote on 2PM's ex-leader, Jay Park. He praised Jay on the perfection of old and new moves. It was also noted that Jay avoided mainstream styles and created his own original style.

Head choreographer of BEAST, Prepix's Ha Woosin chose Yong Junhyung and Jang Hyunseung. Woosin’s reason to pick Junhyung was because he desired to be a dancer before working in BEAST and that his dance movements were more distinguished among his band mates. He also chose Hyunseung because he worked hard to get his moves solid.

Other than male idol dancers, two votes went to 2NE1's Minzy, BoA received one vote, and miss A's Min was also considered.
