Korean R&B trio, One Way, had a 6-day trip in Manila to promote their album-One Way Street Philippine Edition. Chance, Peter and Young Sky arrived in the morning of July 28 at NAIA-Centennial Terminal. On the same day, the boys had their first ever press conference in the Philippines wherein they eagerly answered questions from the local media.
On the second day of their tour, they appeared in a local morning show (UKG) and a noon time show (Showtime) – where they performed their hit single, “Magic” and had fun interaction with the audience and hosts of the said shows. The boys spent the rest of the day shooting for various ABS-CBN and MYX programs.
Friday, July 30, marked the start of their 3-day mall tour in three of the biggest malls in the metro – SM North EDSA Sky Dome, SM MegaMall Activity Center and SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. But before heading to their first mall show, One Way appeared in yet another morning talk show at the ANC Channel and taped their episode for Simply KC-where Chance met his new celebrity crush, KC Concepcion, the host of the show.
The boys of One Way also came out on weekend showbiz-oriented talk shows (E-Live and The Buzz) and a Sunday noon time variety show, ASAP XV- where the boys performed for the first time their song, “Wrong Number” with the country’s very own, Christian Bautista in which they collaborated with for the Philippine release of their One Way Street album.
They kicked off their mall tour at the SM City Sky Dome (One Way is the first K-Pop Act to perform in here). Chance, Peter and Young Sky amazed their Filipino fans with their amazing live performances, turning the mall tour into a concert scene.
The boys performed songs off their album- One Way Street and cover songs like Sexy Love (with 3 lucky fans in every performance), Geek In The Pink and Insomnia. Chance performed the song, “Forever”, for the first time on the second and third leg of their mall tour.
Peter showed off his amazing dancing skills mixing tap dance with acrobatics/bboy; while Young Sky did some freestyle rapover the beats of Peter’s tapping. On the last day of their mall tour, the boys performed their song, “Wrong Number” with Christian Bautista.
The boys also signed all the CDs bought by fans during the mall tour, exchanged handshakes with them, and talked to the fans showing their deep appreciation for the support that the fans gave them.
Chance, Peter and Young Sky definitely did not disappoint their Filipino fans giving them one of the greatest mall shows of a K-Pop act ever in the country.
One Way definitely left the fans screaming for encore!!!
