Here’s my one-on-three interview with Chance (Michael Kim, leader/vocals), Peter (Peter Hyun, vocals), and Young Sky (Choo Joon Young, rapper) of South Korea’s top K-pop boy band One Way during their recent promo swing of the metro!

Why is your group called One Way?
Young Sky: One Way because we try to follow only a single path in making our songs.

Are the three of you all raised in South Korea?
Peter: Me and Young Sky (Choo Joon Young) were raised in Sydney, Australia. We also went to high school there.
Chance (Michael Kim): I was raised in California and went to high school there.

Which country do you call home?
Chance: Korea.
Peter: We are proud to be Koreans but we are also proud to be born and raised in Australia.
Young Sky: We are proud to be Aussies as well as Koreans.

Is this your first time to come to the Philippines?
Young Sky: Yes, it’s our first time.

How do you find the Philippines?
Peter: Nice people!

How about the girls?
Chance: Lots of good-looking girls

Do you think the three of you can have a Filipina girlfriend?
Peter: Maybe, but right now we don’t have time yet for the girlfriend-boyfriend thing because we are all focused with our work. And our band is our priority right now.

Meaning all of you are still single and you don’t have any girlfriend even in Korea?
Chance: Yes! All of us have no girlfriend yet.

What’s your best experience in the Philippines so far?
Peter: I think the support of all Filipino fans. We can hardly believe that we got plenty of fans in the Philippines.

What’s your most embarrassing thing while performing on stage?
Young Sky: Sometimes we make jokes but everyone is not laughing.

Do you like to comeback to the Philippines and have other shows?
Chance: Yes, absolutely!
