By treating every performance as a big musical event, Jed stays on top. He has been is ASAP for five years where the turnover of newbies and veteran artists is a way of life. It’s the same practice when he releases a new album. The release of The Classics Album is another milestone in his successful career and in the history of Philippine music industry.
All the 16 carefully selected songs in The Classics Album, comprised a collection everybody will treasure. Jed’s inimitable vocal styling added more luster to the sterling qualities of the well-loved romantic and inspirational ditties.
Jed’s excellent renditions of evergreens like “What I Did For Love,” “Let Metry Again,” “I Believe,” “Love Story,” “It’s Impossible,” and “Portrait Of My Love” set us to singing and listening mood.
The world singing champion’s nearly hypnotic performance of “An Affair To Remember,” “Times Of Your Life, “A Time For Us,” “You Will Be My Music” and “Softly As I Leave You” leaves us wanting for more.
His updated version of “Walkaway,” “Somewhere,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing” and “Moon River” are more than enough testimony that Jed is a master song artist.
The Classics Album is a fitting follow-up to Jed’s platinum certified Songs Rediscovered album series.
The new Universal Records release is in a handsome package, which goes very well with the musical treasure in the album.
