WORLD CHAMPION JED MADELA RELEASES NEW ALBUM "BREATHE AGAIN"
World Champion Jed Madela sold thousands of records reviving some of the most memorable ballads in his previous albums. Now, he is all set to fulfill his promise of recording new songs in his seventh album "Breathe Again."
“I am keeping my word, promise,” says Jed of his newest album. “It took some time because I really want to give you something exceptional and incomparable.” The album, composed primarily of beautifully-written original songs, exhibits his versatility and range as a vocalist.
“I have set a tight standard when I chose each song for this album,” he admits. “These new songs will make everyone…. Breathe Again.”
"Breathe Again" is a beautiful ballad that speaks about the different facets of love- its ups and downs, joys and pains.
When asked to describe some outstanding tracks in the album, he describes “Larawan” as something vocally-challenging, while “Ikaw Na Lang Ang Kulang” as a stirring ballad.
Jed also tries interpreting more upbeat songs as he performs "I Have You Here" and "We’re Having A Party."
Aside from the nine original songs, "Breathe Again" also gives in to requests for Jed to record some revivals. Kris Aquino asked Jed to record Fra Lippo Lippi’s "Later."
Jed also revived Lani Misalucha’s "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin," Peabo Bryson’s "If Ever You’re In My Arms Again," Barry Manilow’s "I Made It Through The Rain," and Fantasia Barrino’s "I Believe," which made Jed trend when he performed the song on ASAP Rocks.
Aside from the launch of "Breathe Again," Jed will headline a special concert "Beyond Expectations" this November 26 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines with Ballet Manila, Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera as guests.

Present during the awarding is Universal Records’ General Manager Kathleen Dy Go.
“We always receive updates about the status of the album, so in a way, I knew that it will happen soon,” says Jed. “But I never thought it will be awarded that day, so I was caught by surprised.”
Jed, who has been in the business for a decade now, is set to conquer new territories by taking his first step into the Southeast Asian market next month.
“I am so excited,” admits Jed. “It feels like I am starting all over again.”
For his fans in the Philippines, a major concert and a new album are also currently in the works.
Throughout the years, Jed’s track record highlights his being one of the most bankable recording artists of his generation. His debut album "I’ll Be Around" includes the hit "Let Me Love You." His other hit albums were "Songs Rediscovered" (Double Platinum), which included his hit revival of "The Past;" "Only Human" (Platinum); "The Voice of Christmas" (Gold); and "Songs Rediscovered 2" (Platinum).
“I am so blessed by having the best management team, record label, and fans, who continue to support me and my talent all these years,” declares Jed. “I will continue to perform knowing that, with my songs, I can touch other people’s lives.”
Produced by Platinum producer Ito Rapadas, "The Classics Album" boasts of gathering 16 carefully-selected songs earlier popularized by Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Tom Jones, Perry Como, Matt Monro, Nat King Cole, Paul Anka, Jack Jones, The Four Tops, Simon & Garfunkel. Jed’s inimitable vocal styling added more luster to the sterling qualities of these well-loved romantic and inspirational ditties.

International artist Jed Madela gave back to his home country as he wholeheartedly sang the new station ID of The Filipino Channel (TFC).
"I'm just so honored and happy to be chosen to be the voice of the new theme song of TFC," Madela told abs-cbnNEWS.com at a press conference on Friday.
The singer was chosen to sing TFC’s newest theme song “Tayo ang TFC (The Filipino Community)" which is dedicated to millions of Filipinos around the world.
The new station ID and theme song for TFC's17th anniversary features not only the success of the channel but also the enhanced lives of overseas Filipinos and their families.
"Sobra akong happy na iba naman 'yung concentration ng campaign na ito. It's not about the celebrities. It's not about the idols na nakikita natin sa TV, but it's more of the real people, the subscribers of TFC. The main reason why TFC exists is because of them," he said.
"Dati we look at TFC as a TV channel lang na pinapanood ng OFWs para makita nila ang mga nangyayari sa Pilipinas. This (station ID) gives deeper meaning to TFC. It's more of a community. It's more of an avenue sa mga OFW na maka-connect sa pamilya nila sa Pilipinas. At the same time pinapakita nito kung ano ang nangyayari sa kanila doon," Madela added.
Madela who refused a lot of offers to work abroad because he wants to perform and be of help to his fellow Filipinos in the country, said he sang the theme song to serve as an inspiration to others.
"Ever since I started, it was not all about me. It's me singing to people. 'Yun ang pinaka-passion ko, singing for other people and reaching out. Kaya nga 'di ako nag-pursue ng international career at lumipat sa abroad. I came back because I want to be an instrument to push Filipino talent para ipakita sa Pinoy na talented ang Pinoy," Madela said.
TFC's unveiling of “Tayo ang TFC” will happen on Sunday (April 3) on "ASAP Rocks" on ABS-CBN and TFC in other countries.

Often referred as "The Voice" and "The Singer's Singer" by the media, Jed Madela is one of the best male singers the country has ever produced. Jed made waves during the 2005 World Championships of the Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Hollywood California when he single-handedly won all major industry awards, 6 gold medals for all 6 categories he joined in the World Star Trophy and the most coveted and ultimate title "Grand Champion Performer of the World", the first Filipino to win the title. He bested over 3,000 contestants from 52 countries to win the grand prize.
WCOPA is the first and only international series of competitions that seek to find and crown the best aspiring performing artists on earth. The talent search is an "Olympics-style" competition in which singers compete only against other singers, dance groups compete only against other dance groups, and so on.
Jed has released six albums to date. Debut album “I’ll Be Around” includes the radio smash “Let Me Love You (From The Bottom Of My Heart)”. His second album “Songs Rediscovered” was certified DOUBLE PLATINUM, while his third album “Only Human” also went PLATINUM. He also released a Christmas CD “The Voice Of Christmas” in 2007, which went GOLD. His fifth CD "Songs Rediscovered 2: The Ultimate OPM Playlist” was certified PLATINUM. He is now a mainstay of ABS CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP XV. Jed is currently enjoying sell-out concerts in the Philippines and around the world.
