"Singer-actor-TV host Sam Concepcion is ready to fly as he is set to star in Stages and Repertory Philippines' production of Peter Pan,which goes onstage this September 29 to October 30 at the Meralco Theater.

"Peter Pan serves as Sam's musical theater comeback after headlining the successful run of High School Musical, where he played the role of Troy Bolton.

"I am excited to perform in a musical once again. After all, it has been around three years," Sam said ecstatically. "I am looking forward to all the flying scenes and performing all the wonderful songs from the musical."

With the similarities of some of the characters, people might say that the new teen dance drama is a rip-off of the hit series, Glee. Sam Concepcion talks in behalf of the cast and says that Good Vibes is a teen-oriented show where they focus on issues about the youth of today with a common ground of dancing. He adds, "Malayo siya sa format ng Glee but we are offering something new. Dancing is a great way to connect sa mga kabataan kasi we all love to dance, we all love music. Ibang formula nito and that's what makes it exciting."

Good Vibes will begin airing tomorrow, April 3, after ASAP Rocks on ABS-CBN.

Sam shines. At exactly 8:00 p.m., Sam Concepcion - who was handpicked by Taylor for the front act—owned the stage with his rendition of Chris Brown's "Yeah 3X," Carl Douglas's "Kung Fu Fighting," Katy Perry's "Firework," and his song "Even If."

Judging from his performance, spiced up by well-choreographed dance moves, the 18-year-old singer came well-prepared.

Another unforgettable moment for Sam was meeting Taylor backstage.

His manager Carlo Orosa related, "Very tight ang security. Pagkatapos nung meet-and-greet ng mga organizers, yung charities, at mga taga-Araneta, muntik nang hindi makalapit si Sam. Buti na lang, mabait yung manager."

Next thing Sam knew, he was face to face with the the dad of the 21-year-old country pop singer, Mr. Scott K. Swift.

The two had a brief chat, where Sam related that his career started in theater, and that he is now the country's Peter Pan.

Mr. Swift's face lit up and said his daughter trained in theater as well.

After a few minutes, Sam finally met the star of the show, whose greeting was, "You're awesome! They love you out there. Thanks for tweeting." Apparently, Taylor had read Sam's posts about her concert.

Orosa witnessed the backstage scene, and described Taylor as "very lovable."

He added, "Nakita ko yung closet [niya], puno ng gitara. Ang dami!"

Teen heartthrob Sam Concepcion will open for country-pop superstar Taylor Swift's concert in Araneta Coliseum this February 19th. According to Sam's business manager Carlo Arreglado Orosa, Taylor Swift personally selected Sam to be her front act from the lists of OPM acts presented to her. Taylor Swift Live in Manila is brought to us by Ovation Productions.

Sam instantly captured the hearts of the public when he won in the ABS-CBN talent show “Little Big Star” in 2006. He has won numerous commendations in the short span of time that he has been pursuing his career - a string of Candy Cutie Awards sponsored by Candy Magazine; Nickelodeon’s Pinoy Wannabe Award; Pure N’ Fresh Top Teen Awards’ Top Teen Male Entertainer Award and "Favorite New Artist" in the 3rd MYX Music Awards. He also topbilled STAGES’ production of “High School Musical,” and broke new grounds when he was tasked to sing the theme song “Kung Fu Fighting” of the international animated movie “Kung Fu Panda", such feat made him the first local artist to have sung for Hollywood film company, Dreamworks.

In the concert scene, Sam proved why Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano handpicked him to be his successor alongside international recording artist Billy Crawford. On television, Sam was unforgettable as Boy Bawang in the superserye “Super Inggo”, as young Piolo Pascual in “Walang Kapalit”, as Betty La Fea’s younger brother Andrew in the ABS-CBN adaptation of the hit Colombian franchise, as the young and handsome Bobet in “Your Song Presents: Boystown” and on “ASAP” where he is a part of the Gigger Boys and A-Pop. He is also one of the hosts of "Shoutout Level Up".

Sam’s credibility as an endorser has also brought his image to a different level. He is one of the faces of Bench and Skechers, as well as the endorser of Karate Kid fast food chain and Jollibee. He has also been lauded for his numerous advocacies. Sam is Department of Education’s (DepEd) ambassador, and a World Vision stalwart. Sam credits his current success to the support of SAMster. They have been following every detail of their idol’s career, showing support and are always present in each and every activity that Sam gets involved with.

Sam's self-titled debut album under Universal Record was certified gold and has released a DVD entitled "Pop Class".
