The #1 K-Pop group in the Philippines (and almost everywhere where K-pop exists), Super Junior, won ASAP Pop Viewers Choice Awards 2010 for Pop K-Pop Category! Universal Records' General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go was there to personally accept the award on behalf of Universal Records, SM Entertainment and our boys! Ms. Go thanked the fans for voting for them and making them the #1 K-pop act in the Philippines!
Here are few reasons why Super Junior deserves the award:
- Super Junior is the only K-Pop act to have two (2) Gold Records in the Philippines for "Sorry Sorry" and "Bonamana"
- Super Junior is the only K-Pop act to have six (6) #1 albums based on record stores' album charts in the Philippines
- Super Junior is the only K-Pop act to reach the #1 spot in three of the country's biggest record retail stores' album charts (Astroplus/Astrovision, Odyssey and Music One) simultaneously

ASAP XV is a top-rating Sunday noontime TV variety program in the Philippines. The winners were based on the most number of text votes received, which started last October 31st. Other nominees in that category were 2NE1, Wonder Girls and One Way!
