GREGORIAN RELEASES "CHRISTMAS CHANTS" CD

Worldwide, Gregorian has sold over 3 million albums, had countless sold-out tours and the recipient of more than 20 Gold and Platinum Awards. They regarded as one of the most successful musical groups of their genre. After their 1999 debut, Gregorian quickly morphed into a genuine brand of contemporary music, often imitated but never duplicated. With their first ever Christmas CD "Christmas Chants" , renowed international producer, Frank Peterson, adds to a well-stocked list of releases with a holiday-themed album.

The repertoire ranges from pure classical ("Ave Maria") to English traditional Christmas carols, "O, Come All Yes Faithful" and "The First Noel". Contemporary works such as "The Little Drummer Boy" (Bing Crosby) and Cat Steven's classic "Morning Has Broken" reworked as the Christmas song "Child In A Manger" are also included. John Lennon & Yoko Ono's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" and Chris DeBurgh's "A Spaceman Came Traveling" are also sure to delight. An original composition by Gregorian founder, Frank Peterson ("Footsteps In The Snow" ) adds a nice dimension of "new" to this collection of beloved holiday favorites.
