“It’s very immature for them to think that a person is gay because he has no girlfriend,” says Christian Bautista when asked about the gay issue yesterday at the lunch of his newest album dubbed as “Romance Revisited: The Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan” at Linden Suites in Ortigas.”Tinatawanan lang namin yan, syempre pag-mag-papaapekto ka sa mga ganyan mas lalo kang ididiin dyan.”
It’s been almost two years since his relationship with last girlfriend Rachell Ann Go went. Since then, he never had a girlfriend that causes entertainment media members to think he doesn’t like women. But for Christian, finding a perfect woman is a difficult task especially in his case as he is choosy in selecting a woman to love. He says, “Hindi kasi ako basta-basta lang nagge-girlfriend. Hindi ako katulad sa ibang guys na pag walang girlfriend ay hanap agad.”
Tagged as Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian released his first album under Universal Records. Produced by platinum producer Ito Rapadas, the 19-track concept album contains Christian’s rendition of songs popularized by Original Pilipino Music pillar Jose Mari Chan. The album includes Christian’s collaboration with OPM’s biggest names – Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Double Diamond Artist Jose Mari Chan, and Philippines’ Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo.
“Romance Revisited: The Love Songs Of Jose Mari Chan,” includes “Tell Me Your Name,” “I Remember The Girl,” “Afraid For Love To Fade,” “I Have Fallen In Love” (With The Same Woman Three Times),” “Please Be Careful With my Heart” with Sarah Geronimo, “My Girl My Woman My Friend” with Regine Velasquez, “Beautiful Girl,” “Can’t We Start Over Again,” “Be Gentle,” “Stay My Love,” “Afterglow,” “A Love To Last A Lifetime,” “Here And Now” with Lani Misalucha, “Constant Change,” “Deep In My Heart,” “Refrain,” “Can We Just Stop And Talk A While,” “So I’ll Go,” and “A Heart’s Journey” with Jose Mari Chan.
The carrier single “Tell Me Your Name” is currently one of the most requested songs on FM stations and its music video featuring the Thai beauty-actress Paula Taylor has just debuted on MYX, the number one music channel in the country. Christian is also the MYX Celebrity VJ for October.
The beautifully packaged album comes with a 2010 Christian Bautista Photo Calendar. Limited Edition “Romance Revisited: The Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan” CD (with Free Minus One CD) is available exclusively in all Odyssey outlets.

Christian thanks Blackwater Body Spray, The Linden Suites, Mediacon Home Entertainment, Belo Essentials and Bench for sponsoring his brand new CD’s launch.
