Super Junior's Kyuhyun to Star in a Musical?

Will Super Junior‘s youngest follow the footsteps of his hyungs and perform in a musical?

With the latest trend of idols branching out into musicals, it won’t be such a surprise if Kyuhyun will also do the same thing.

Recently, there has been a rumor floating around that Kyuhyun has been cast in a musical, The Three Musketeers and will star in the lead role of D’Artagnan. The role was supposedly offered to SHINee‘s Onew but he couldn’t accept the offer for unspecified reasons. Hence, the offer was given to Kyuhyun. TRAX vocalist Jay Kim (Typhoon) and another unidentified performer will also play the main lead.

The Three Musketeers is a classic novel written by French writer Alexander Dumas in 1844. D’Artagnan is not one of the three muskeeteers but the novel tells his story of becoming one. Interestingly, D’Artagnan has a love interest in the book named Constance. Thus, it is expected that the two characters will share a kiss in the musical.

Meanwhile, the musical is reported to play from December 14, 2010 to January 30, 2011.

So far, SM Entertainment has not released a statement regarding this news. But whether this will push through or not, guess it is high time for Kyuhyun to show off his talents in a musical, don’t you think?
