f(x) Amber missing; the rest to go on with activities?

Where is Amber? It's a question that many f(x) fans have been asking for the past couple of months. During their NU ABO promotions, Amber acquired an ankle injury that eventually led to her withdrawal from the performances. Even when the rest of the group promoted Mr. Boogie on the weekly shows, she was still nowhere to be found. In addition, it was announced that Amber would participate in the SMTown Live Tour '10, which kick-started in Seoul on August 21st. But she was nowhere to be found.

f(x) also have their own variety show airing on MBC Every1 this month, but Amber did not participate in the recordings. The group's first reality show, f(x)'s Koala, will reveal the different cultural experiences that they have encountered while in LA, Tokyo, and other world famous cities. The first episode revealed the group's dormitory and individual talents.

Last month, an official press release by their agency, SM Entertainment, assured fans that Amber's absence was due to her receiving treatment in America. It was recommended that she withdraw from activities due to her already naturally weak ankles. Forcing herself to continue activities would have worsen her condition.

What is making fans even more worried that Amber may have dropped out of f(x) is a quote from f(x) member Krystal saying, "The members are concentrating on solo activities. We are preparing for a new album, so please look out for us.”

(Readers must note that this is not the first time that news of f(x)'s upcoming album has been stated. It has not been confirmed whether this will be another mini-album or a full length album.)

For the moment, the only comfort that f(x) fans have is a reassuring answer from Amber that she will be back in Korea. A fan had an encounter with Amber in Los Angeles and had timidly asked her. It is said that Amber is currently enjoying her personal vacation at home with her parents.

Regarding the rumors of Amber quitting, SM Entertainment representative said that it is impossible that she has quit.

We hope that Amber is recovering from her ankle injury and will return soon to make f(x) whole again.
