Sa panayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa R&B Prince na si Jay-R, tinanong namin siya kung may plano na silang magpakasal ng kanyang girlfriend na si Krista Kleiner.

"Wala pa, hindi pa, si Kyla muna ang ikakasal!" natatawang reaksiyon ni Jay-R referring to his singing partner, R&B Princess Kyla, na malapit nang ikasal sa PBA player na si Rich Alvarez.

Dagdag niya, "Bago pa lang kami, e. We've only been together for one year and nine months.

"Pero, you know, parang feeling ko po, we have to get to know each other more. We want to enjoy each other's company muna po bago kami mag-isip ng getting married."

Takaw-Tingin. Si Krista ang current titleholder ng Bb. Pilipinas-International. Mahirap bang magka-girlfriend ng beauty queen?

"Mahirap, mahirap!" tawa ni Jay-R. "Ang mga lalaki siyempre, lahat nakatingin sa kanya. Tapos yung mga tingin pa, parang very ano, e. E, siyempre, wala ka namang magagawa, nakatingin, e."

Hindi siya nagseselos?

"Nagseselos minsan," pag-amin niya.

Biro namin, si Jay-R naman ay tinitingnan ng girls and gays

Tumawa ang singer, sabay sabing, "Pero iba yung tingin sa kanya [Krista], di ba, yung mga lalaki."

R&B artists Jay R and Kyla give in to their fans' requests by restaging their Soulmates concert on February 11, 2011 at The Establishment in The Fort, Taguig.

After their one-night concert last December, Jay-R said some of their fans who failed to watch requested a repeat.

"Nagre-request sila, 'Pahingi naman ng isa pang concert.' So, ito na ulit. It's perfect timing for Valentine's so, we're gonna grant them their wish," said Jay-R during the media junket prepared for him and Kyla at The Establishment last Friday, January 28.

Jay-R and Kyla will be doing almost the same lineup they did last time. However, according to the Prince of R&B, "May konting adjustments lang for the Valentine's Day. Maybe more of the love songs."

These music celebrities also promise to showcase a diverse repertoire featuring Motown classics, heart-melting ballads, funk-flavored grooves as well as their OPM hits. The show will be directed by Freddie Santos, with musical direction by Marvin Querido.

"We must enjoy singing together." The partnership of Kyla and Jay-R has been lucky enough to stay away from intrigues. Although they look like a real couple on stage, both manage to keep their personal relationships away from the public eye.

The restaging of Soulmates next week will also be the pre-Valentine celebration of Kyla and Jay-R with their significant others: Rich Alvarez and Krista Kleiner, respectively.

"Siyempre, we'll be singing to our Valentine," said Jay-R. "I'm gonna be dedicating some songs to her and I'm sure Kyla is gonna be dedicating some songs to Rich. It's gonna be parang pre-Valentine's celebration for us."

When they were just starting out, fans believed that they could be a real couple. However, Kyla said, their followers have learned to accept that the chemistry they have is reserved only for the stage.

"Alam mo, most of them naman, alam na nila," Kyla said with a smile. "Nagsawa na sila na intindihin na meron kaming kanya-kanyang boyfriend at girlfriend.

"Para sa akin, okay 'yon kasi nag-a-add ng mystery. Parang kinikilig sila because alam nilang hindi naman talaga puwede pero kapag kumakanta na kaming dalawa, kinilig na sila lalo.

"It's different in real life and when we're on stage nagta-transform kami into performing people. Parang we just enjoy singing together."

Jay-R agreed by saying, "It's on the stage talaga. We have great chemistry when we're singing together."

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, fresh from receiving a Triple Platinum Record Award earlier that day, bagged the 'Best Male Recording Artist of The Year' for his "Romance Revisited:The Love Songs of Jose Mari Chan" at the 2nd PMPC Star Awards for Music held last night (October 10th) at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo De Manila University. Christian was there to personally accept the honor since he also hosted the event.

Prince of R&B Jay R won the 'Best R&B Artist of the Year' for his current album "Jay R Songs OPM Love Classics". Jay R wasn't able to attend the event.

PEP.ph | Jay-R and Kyla sign Indonesian recording contracts

Kasalukuyang nasa Jakarta, Indonesia ang R&B sensations at Party Pilipinas hosts na sina Jay R at Kyla.

Ito ay para sa pagpirma ng kanilang recording contract with an Indonesian music company, kaya masasabing certified recording artists sa Southeast Asia ang dalawang talents ni Arnold L. Vegafria. Last September 2 lumipad sina Jay R, Kyla at Arnold para sa contract signing with Tarra Group Indonesia, with its president Mr. Wirawan Hartawan.

Nandoon din sa signing si Mr. Ramon Chuaying, ang president ng PolyEast Records at Universal Records Philippines. Dito sa Pilipinas, si Kyla ay exclusive recording artist ng PolyEast, samantalang under UR naman si Jay R.

BAHASA VERSIONS. Bago sila pumunta ng Jakarta ay nakapanayam ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Arnold sa kanyang opisina sa Taipan Place, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

"Jay R's new album, yung Soul In Love, ay magkakaroon ng launching in Indonesia, and si Kyla, yung album niya. Kaya I'm so happy and proud of them," masayang bungad ni Arnold.

Na-release na dito sa Philippines ang separate albums nila, "pero may ka-duet na silang Indonesian this time. Yun ang bago. And sa album, nakalagay doon ang isang duet with pop and R&B stars ng Indonesia. Separate sila.

"It's under Universal Records dito, pero yung recording doon is, of course, isang Indonesian recording company."

First time na magkakaroon sina Kyla and Jay R ng releases sa labas ng bansa. "Southeast Asia, to be specific," sabi ni Arnold.

Ayon sa talent manager, ang kanyang kumpanya, ang ALV Talent Circuit, along with Universal Records and Polyeast Records, ang nag-negotiate ng contracts para kina Jay R and Kyla, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang agents sa Southeast Asia, partikular na sa Indonesia at Malaysia.

Anong deal nila with Tarra Group Indonesia?

"Yung contract with the recording company is three years. Then, my agent there in Indonesia and in Malaysia, they're working it out. I have a contract with an agency in Indonesia and Malaysia. In Southeast Asia. And at the same time, we have a contract with the recording company, which Universal Records is the one who got the deal," sabi ni Arnold.

Kuwento rin niya, "They will shoot an MTV also in Indonesia for their albums. Five to six days ang stay nila doon. That's the launch of their albums, TV guestings, MTV shoots, and then recording.

"But the recording of the Indonesian talent is in Bahasa, hindi English, hindi Filipino, but in Bahasa, that's the language of Indonesia... So, kakanta sila ng Bahasa [songs]...

"Yung Bakit Pa Ba ni Jay R, magiging Bahasa... Kyla, nag-record na siya ng isang hit song from Indonesia... Si Kyla, nag-record na noon ng isang duet before, part lang siya ng isang album..."

Naunang naipadala ng UR sa Indonesia ang isa pa nilang contract artist na si Christian Bautista. Maganda ang naging resulta para kay Christian at tinuturing na malaking break din ito para kina Jay R at Kyla. "Malaki!" nakangiting sang-ayon ni Arnold.
