SCHOOL OF SEVEN BELLS - Alpinisms
Fans of Broadcast, Electrelane, Ladytron, Au Revoir Simone, Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine, hope you're reading this. Brooklyn trio School of Seven Bells, founded by ex-Secret Machines guitarist Benjamin Curtis and vocalist twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza of On!Air!Library!, are currently causing a bit of a frenzy amongst the indie media, and it's easy to see why. Their intoxicating blend of droning soundscapes, ethereal vocals, afro-pop and electro house influences has captured imaginations, hearts and a growing legion of fans. In their debut album "Alpinisms", they have uncovered a rich nexus between humming shoegaze guitar, floaty and ethereal 4AD pop, and the wistful exuberance of ’90s Manchester. The album includes contribution from Blonde Redhead's Simone Pace and includes the singles "My Cabal", "Iamundernodisguise", "Face To Face On High Places", "Half Asleep" and more.

THE MORNING PAPER - What We Wish
The Morning Paper is primarily the solo project of David Kyhlberg and features a rotating cast of characters including Ida Bergstrom (of the Bridal Shop) and Karl Daniel Tornqvist. The Morning Paper’s new album "What We Want" reveals a band whose sound, heavily embroidered with epic synth washes and shy, reverb-kissed vocals, nodded to like minded Scandinavians such as Celestial and The Radio Dept. Recommended if you like New Order, Cocteau Twins, Sigur Ros, Slowdive, Prefab Sprout, Saint Etienne, My Bloody Valentine, Brighter, The Radio Department, Nathan Fake, M83, Trembling Blue Stars, Blueboy, Brian Eno, Junior Boys, Manual. Includes one Philippines-only bonus track!
