Composed of Sarkie Sarangay on vocals and guitars, Allen Calixto on drums, Chino David on violin, Anjo Inacay on cello, and latest addition Jason Rondero on bass, Silent Sanctuary has released their new CD called “Mistaken For Granted”. Made up of 11 songs, including their first single “Hay Naku”, the very catchy “Pauwi Na Ako” and the heartbreaking “Hiling”, the album is called so because “We’ve grown past "Fuchsiang Pag-Ibig". This album is our way of saying na we’re not all cute love songs,”
Silent Sanctuary are one of the few local acts to have amassed quite a few achievements in a short span of time. They bagged an NU Rock Award as 'In the Raw' awardees (for being the best unsigned band of 2006), contributed songs to "Kami nAPO Muna Ulit" (Tuyo Na'ng Damdamin), "Super Inggo" fantasereye (Ikaw Lamang) and "Sana Maulit Muli" teleseye (Maalala Mo Sana) plus their single “Rebound” was played October 2006 and ended up in no. 16 of NU 107’s 107 best song of the year 2006 surpassing other songs that played later on the play list.
