Universal Records got most number of nominations at 2011 MYX Music Awards

Universal Records, the Leader in Music, got the most number of nominations at 2011 MYX Music Awards. A total of 23 nominations from the 19 categories for both our OPM and K-Pop acts! Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista got a total of 5 nominations, while Parokya ni Edgar got a total of 4. Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez and International R&B-Pop Sensation Billy Crawford each got 2 nominations. Noel Cabangon, Kamikazee, Kenyo, Jay R and Ogie Alcasid got one nomination each and even the one time MYX Live performance of iconic pop-rock group Neocolours, was impressive enough for them to bag a nomination! Universal Records' K-Pop MVs dominate the "Best K-Pop Video" category with 4 nominations - Super Junior (Bonamana), U-Kiss (Bingeul Bingeul), SNSD (Run Devil Run) and 2NE1 (Go Away).

MYX, the #1 Music Channel in the Philippines, revealed the nominees last week and MYX viewers can cast their votes on their MYX Music Awards bet. Just text MMA and send to 2331 for Globe and Sun subscribers, 231 for Smart subscribers, P2.50/vote for Globe and Smart subscribers, P2/vote for Sun subscribers.

Example: If you want to vote for Parokya ni Edgar's Pakiusap Lang music video, text MMA 10 to 2331 if you are a GLOBE or SUN subscribers and text MMA 10 to 231 if you are a SMART subscriber. Voting period will start on February 7 and ends March 7, 2011.
