What do Ke$ha and Girls' Generation have in common?

If SNSD's new song, "Run Devil Run" sounds vaguely familiar to some of you, there is a good reason why.

Just minutes after SNSD's latest song, "Run Devil Run" has been released, the public has pointed out the song is exactly the same as the song by American chart-topper, Ke$ha

Before you jump on the "omg they plagiarized" boat, SM Entertainment has the legal rights to the song.

The song was composed internationally by Busbee of USA, Alex James of UK, and Kalle Engstrom of Sweden. Ke$ha has recorded a guide version before her debut because of her close relationship with one of the composers. Guided versions are recorded songs (usually by a different artist or non-artist) to help in sound recording, with usually no intentions of official releases by the recorder. Ke$ha's guided version was leaked onto Youtube and action was taken to delete them, but some still remain. SNSD is considered the official artist of the song, "Run Devil Run".
