New York quartet THE DRUMS are creating the kind of music biz frenzy I haven't seen since Artic Monkeys arrived in 2005.
Their gig at Camden's Barfly on Tuesday was a roadblock and only their second headline capital show.
They are already looked after by Coldplay's handlers, 3D Management, and now record labels are fighting to sign them.
Scores of A&R scouts were stuck outside the gig as demand was so high.
Singer JONATHAN PIERCE, guitarists JACOB GRAHAM and ADAM KESSLER and drummer CONNOR HANWICK fuse Fifties surf-rock with electronica and have a mini album on indie label Moshi Moshi.
This time next year they will be huge.
