Ogie Alcasid pays tribute to the biggest OPM composers and singers in his new album "The Great Filipino Songbook". A multi-awarded and well-acclaimed singer/composer himself, Ogie gave his own endearing rendition of classic OPM hits like "Kung Sakali" (the carrier single), "Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin", "Kahit Na", "Ngayon", "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo", "May Minamahal", "Bawa't Sandali", "Doon Lang", "Nais Ko", "Bato Sa Buhangin", "Handog", "Kailangan Kita", "Sana'y Ikaw Na Nga", "Yakapin Mo Ako", "Malayo Pa Ang Umaga" and "May Bukas Pa". Even before his album launch in SOP, "The Great Filipino Songbook" has entered the Top 5 charts of major retail oulets like Music One, O Music Video, Astroplus, Shoemart and Odyssey. Ogie will celebrate his 20th anniversary in showbiz with a major concert 20/20 at the Araneta Coliseum on September 27, 2008.
