Koreaboo | Big Bang to unveil new teaser on April Fool's Day

After being hinted at recently on Big Bang’s comeback on YG Entertainment’s official blog, it has been confirmed that the group will continue promotions for their special edition album.

On the 29th of March, YG Entertainment uploaded a photo of T.O.P. with the message “On April 1 (April Fool’s Day) 30 seconds of Big Bang’s new song ‘Stupid Liar’ will be revealed.”

Big Bang is set to continue their promotions on the 8th of April with their new album, which will feature their new title tracks “Stupid Liar” and “Love Song.” They are set to promote their new title songs on the April 10th episode of SBS “Inkigayo.”

Big Bang's 4.5 Album Cover Revealed

We previously reported on the track list for Big Bang's 4.5 album, and now YGE Shop has the album up for pre-order, with some new details.

Though the album price of 17,000 won ($15.44 USD) and a pre-order date ending on April 7th are new info, the biggest revelation is the album cover. The new cover contrasts with the teaser cover, which was starkly put on a white background, and the mini-album cover, which was white-on-black. This new album cover features a neon green skull outline. If you look closely, you can tell that the skull's teeth form the keys of the piano.

The album will contain 10 songs, a Big Bang poster, YG Family Card, and a 100+ page photobook. The album can be pre-ordered at YGE Shop: https://www.ygeshop.com/yg_mart.php?query=view&code=000901&no=832

Big Bang reaches out to Filipino VIPs

YG Entertainment superstar boy group Big Bang made an impressive comeback with their 4th mini album. The title track "Tonight" took first place in music shows like M! Countdown, Music Bank and Inkigayo and the album sold more than 100,000 copies in less than one week!

Allkpop | CNBLUE wins #1 on M! Countdown

Mnet’s M! Countdown is back with another episode of great performances and musical treats.

Besides the usual stages, Kim Tae Woo, Seo In Kook and U-Kiss all made their comebacks, while Song Ji Eun said goodbye together alongside her featured rapper, Bang Yong Guk.

It was a battle between K-Will, CNBLUE, and Wheesung for the #1 spot on M! Countdown today, and in the end, it was CNBLUE who grabbed the win tonight.

Korea.com | CNBLUE's “Intuition” goes for No.1 in Music Charts!

The weekly chart of the fourth week of March (March 21st until 27th) of Monkey 3 (www.monkey3.co.kr), a music website, showed the status between idol band CNBLUE and I Am A Singer. The winner of this week was CNBLUE.

CNBLUE’s “Intuition” rose to number one in real time charts and weekly charts after its release. “Intuition” is a song with groove rhythms and strong guitar sounds, and with rhythmical vocals. The lyrics are about the intuitive feeling a man has for separation and his feelings to deny it.

MBC TV’s Our Sunday Night – I Am A Singer was pushed down by CNBLUE but all six songs were in the Top 30 in weekly charts and are receiving much attention. In real time charts, Kim Bum Soo’s “Please,” aired on the 27th, is currently number one and for this week’s weekly chart, Yoon Do Hyun’s “You, I Will Always,” the song that took first place in the first competition, debuted in number five. Baek Ji-Young’s “At Any Time” took 13th place, Lee So-ra’s “To You Again,” 16th, Jung Yeop’s “One-sided Love,” 22nd, Lena Park’s “Art On A Rainy Day,” 23rd, and Kim Bum Soo’s “You Look Like A Rose,” 24th. Wheesung’s “Words That Freeze My Heart” was number two, continuing from last week and Girl’s Day’s “Twinkle Twinkle” rose 27 levels and became number three. K.Will’s “My Heart Beating” dropped three levels to become number four.

Two songs of SBS TV’s drama series 49 Days’ soundtrack attracted attention as they landed as number six and seven. So Yeong-eun’s “Should Forget,” a ballad with lyrical melodies, rose thirteen levels to become number six and Jung Yeop’s “Nothing Happened,” the title song of the soundtrack, landed at number seven.
Secret’s Song Ji Eun’s “Going Crazy” landed on number eight, Lee Hyun’s “The Best Of Mine,” number nine, Big Bang’s “Tonight” was number ten, proof of their popularity.

Lee Jung Gyu, the leader of Monkey 3’s contents team, says, “As soon as the songs of I Am A Singer were released, they took over the music charts and are receiving much attention. It seems the fever of talented male artists such as CNBLUE, Wheesung, and K.Will and I Am A Singer will continue.”

Allkpop | Sandara Park’s CF for Nikon released

2NE1’s ‘4D Twitter personality’ and sel-ca queen, Sandara Park, has just released a CF as part of the YG Family’s endorsement of Nikon. They made a fantastic choice with regards to their spokesperson, as Sandara Park’s sel-ca skills are quite formidable!

Her CF differs from traditional CFs in that holds a one-on-one encounter with a celebrity. Through her conversation (or rather, monologue) with the camera, she drives a celebrity-to-consumer appeal. Thanks to Sandara’s bubbly charms, the CF doesn’t feel stilted, awkward, or overly-edited.

In her monologue, Sandara begins, “Everyone, the digital camera I’ve been waiting for has come out!” She then goes on to talk about its features: “Because I took a picture with the bright lens, the colors came out so prettily!” Posing for a couple of sel-cas, she continues, “I really love the pretty pictures – they came out just the way I wanted! And one more thing! If you look at the design, you’ll see it’s got a hot design that’s really popular these days. It has the retro analogue style.” She flashes a thumbs up and says, “Chego! (The best!)”

She finishes off by taking a sel-ca while saying, “From now on, I’ll probably be taking pictures all the time.”

2NE1 reveals video clip from ‘Adidas Originals’

The official YouTube channel of 2NE1 has recently uploaded a ‘making-of’ clip from their “Adidas Originals” collaborative project!

Previously, we announced that 2NE1 would be endorsing “Adidas Originals”, and then we covered the collaborative photoshoot they debuted.

The clip itself isn’t really so much a making-of featurette as it is a teaser clip, but regardless, it certainly embodies the attitude and charisma of the one-of-a-kind girl group, and it is sure to raise the anticipation for April.

2NE1 & Big Bang are Top K-Pop Acts of French K-Pop fans

French K-Pop fans chose 2NE1 and Big Bang as their favorite girl and boy group respectively !

To begin with Kpopfrance.com is the number one source for kpop in France. Moreover they received more than 1,400 visitors per day. So, they decide to make a poll to see what is the favorite girl group of kpopfrance readers.

The result was just recently published on their website. Surprisingly, the poll garner a lot of attention, there were more than 1700 voters (1736 exactly). That is why it was the biggest survey ever done by Kpopfrance.

Koreaboo | Orange Caramel releases "Bangkok City" teaser

It was recently revealed that the three member sub-unit of After School, Orange Caramel, would be making a comeback with "Orange Caramel Asia Project Part 1: Bangkok City".

After School will be releasing their first full length album on the 22nd of April, but in the meantime, Orange Caramel will be promoting. The first teaser for the title track "Bangkok City" was just released. The full version will be released on March 31st. In the teasers, Nana, Lizzy, and Raina show a new, brighter concept.

If you look closely in the teaser, you will notice that the DJ is actually After School's main vocalist, Jung Ah.

Allkpop | Yunho to visit his hometown for SBS’s new variety show

TVXQ’s Yunho will be the first star to guest on SBS’s new variety program “Dalgona“, which will be hosted by MCs Lee Soo Geun, Lee Hwi Jae, and Lee Young Ah.

The show will travel with stars to their hometown, and document them as they give thanks and presents to the residents and figures who have impacted their lives. The celebrity will personally comment on their trip from Seoul to their hometown through a live personal cam.

The show’s pilot episode was aired last December, and producers decided to go ahead and add it to the line-up this year. Yunho will be recording his episode on April 4th in his hometown of Jeolla-do, Kwangju. The episode is scheduled to air sometime in the latter half of the month.

Dong Bang Shin Ki/Tohoshinki may have stopped activities as a group, but the music and memories remain. After the chart-topping success of "Best Selection 2010" comes two more Japanese compilation albums, "Complete Single A-Side Collection" and "Single B-Side Collection", that together cover all of Dong Bang Shin Ki/Tohoshinki's A-side singles and best B-side coupling tracks.

"Complete Single A-Side Collection" collects all 45 Dong Bang Shin Ki/Tohoshinki J-pop singles, from their debut "Stay With Me Tonight" right up to their most recent "Toki Wo Tomete".
